yay i just figured out the pw and username :D
anyway i've been walking to and fro woodlands and admiralty a lot nowadays to save on transport fees. the main point is, everytime i walk, i get to spend time with God and looking around, i learnt something!
have you ever wondered why there are so many plants around? that's because God wants us to learn things from them.
now let me give you a lesson haha.
the roots of the tree are important. they hold the tree firmly under the ground to prevent the tree from falling. in our cg, some of us play this role. we keep the group firmly rooted in the WOG by sharing to make sure everyone will finish the race
the trunk of the tree keeps the tree upright and the xylem and phloem tubes are also inside. we might be the support for the roots.
the branches hold onto the leaves. they make sure nutrients (WOG) gets around the tree (group!).
the leaves have stomata which takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen. we spread god's love to others!
the flowers beautify the tree. imagine the whole world is filled with trees without flowers. wouldnt every tree look the same? the flower gives each tree the uniqueness. you might be the entertainer and the one who creates the atmosphere.

all in all, the tree isnt complete if one of the things is missing. so everyone is important!:D

Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people.

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor

gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student

and had breezed through the questions until I read

the last one:

'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?'

Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the

cleaning woman several times. She was tall,

dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper, leaving the last question

blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if

the last question would count toward our quiz grade.

'Absolutely,' said the professor. 'In your careers,

you will meet many people. All are significant. They

deserve your attention and care, even if all you do

is smile and say 'hello.'

I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her

name was Dorothy.

2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:3 0 p.m., an older African American

woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway

trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had

broken down and she desperately needed a ride.

Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally

unheard of in those conflict-filled 60s.. The man

took her to safety, helped her get assistance and

put her into a taxicab.

She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his

address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a

knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a

giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A

special note was attached..

It read:

'Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway

the other night. The rain drenched not only my

clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.

Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying

husband's bedside just before he passed away... God

bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving

others.'

3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less,

a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and

sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

'How much is an ice cream sundae?' he asked.

'Fifty cents,' replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and

studied the coins in it.

'Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?' he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the

waitress was growing impatient.

'Thirty-five cents,' she brusquely replied.

The little boy again counted his coins.

'I'll have the plain ice cream,' he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on

the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice

cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress

came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the

table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish,

were two nickels and five pennies..

You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had

to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a

roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if

anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the

king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by

and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the

King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did

anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of

vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the

peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the

stone to the side of the road. After much pushing

and straining, he finally succeeded. After the

peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed

a purse lying in the road where the boulder had

been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note

from the King indicating that the gold was for the

person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The

peasant learned what many of us never understand!

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a

hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who

was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only

chance of recovery appeared to be a blood

transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had

miraculously survived the same disease and had

developed the antibodies needed to combat the

illness.. The doctor explained the situation to her

little brother, and asked the little boy if he would

be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a

deep breath and saying, 'Yes I'll do it if it will

save her.' As the transfusion progressed, he lay in

bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did,

seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his

face grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a

trembling voice, 'Will I start to die right away'.

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the

doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his

sister all of his blood in order to save her but he had chosen to save her anyway.

a quick post

today was playing basketball and i realize one thing .. speech is indeed powerfull

like why do i say so

imagine with me there is 2 matches going on .. one of the left half another on the right half .

the people on the left half kept shouting and banging and falling and grumbling . yet on the other side .. people kept laughing . caring for one another . encouraging one another .. which match do you think would be more pleasant to watch ?.. obviously is the more gentle one .. and so how is one way we can create such atmosphere ..

simple.. by using our speech .. cause i realize this thing . in the previous few matches i play before with people i know ofcourse .. whenever i miss they will like .. "Oi.. yongen !.. secure the shot leh!...losing aready you know !?".. and well.. people gets irritated and things like that .. however . the match that i just played was different .. we were laughing and joking and there was lots of FUN .. for the first time passing to one another was so fun .. we were like .. "you shoot".. then he pass back "you shoot" then pass and pass and pass then finally someone shoot .. even if we dont score we would go :"hahahaha !.. nice try nice try ..".. and we had joy .. playing and well even the opponent team were playing cheerfully and there wasnt conflict .. people care for each other .. when bang into one another .. they put others before self .. and things like that . it was an enjoyable match .. our speech is one powerful tool God gave us .. to both build and destroy . to both encourage and to tear down .and so .. dont misuse it .. use it for the kingdom . use it to build the kingdom . dont tear it down . watch your tongue .. tame it .. and dont let it be spoilt ..

Hey yo!

Today I went to the Hope chinese service with Quek and Elton and I have learned alot from the chinese service.

Firstly, right from the start of the service, the speaker talked about how people would demolish a building to build a better one, she said that there will be sorrow to people who had lived there or had a connection with the building. It would be hard to see the building get demolished, but it must be demolished to build a new and better one. She continued to say that in our spiritual life it is exactly the same thing. Sometimes in our life God wants to remove something to give you a better one, but God cannot do it if you stand infront of the building and refuse to let God destroy it. It would be hard to let go and let God, but whatever God wants to build over the demolished building, would be better than the former building. It will always seem to us the otherwise, but that is not true, God plans to prosper us and not to harm us. God knows it is going to be painful but that is the whole point, you wouldn't know how much God can restore without losing something. So even though it was spoke in chinese I think God want me to share about a few things, to let God, don't stop God and He will give you something better than what you cling on to so tightly. Its time to let go.

Next, during the sermon, this time its a guy teaching and its the same thing that Daniel taught few weeks ago about prayer. Matthew 6:5-15, to pray personally to God and not out loud to let people see how spiritual you are. Prayer is a 'focus on God' not a 'focus on what people think of you', haha I'm not saying we should stop speaking in tongues during altar call or worship, that is another thing, but more of like a intimacy thing with God. Being personal =]

Another thing I learned from this family is their unity, even though they are small but they are very united, and this is when I realized what it meant by 'God doesn't need a big group to serve Him' because this family made me feel so at home, it was a loving and warm, even though the aircon was superr colddd because I was right under the aircon =/, but just by going there and looking at the way they speak to each other, there was always smile on their faces. We made new friends there which I can only remember 2 of them; I call one of them 'Ah Fan' because he say he is always very irritating (lol), don't worry I didn't name him that, his caregroup already named him that. The other is a careleader of the group we sticked with, which is the youngest caregroup in the chinese church. We was not stopped by language barriers, we could share jokes very openly like we have already known them for quite a long time already.

...after their service ended, we went to eat lunch at KFC with the caregroup and it was very loving and warm again, but I was shaking like crazy because it's still very cold in KFC and I don't know why I still ate the ice =/. Anyways, I learned alot from the chinese group, shook hands with many people; they were very loving. haha If you had a chance do a random walk in to their church sometimes than act like a nonbeliever and God prompted you to come in to their service. You will definitely see how loving they are. =], I think its because they thought we were some walk-in also. (Do we really look like one?), their unity taught me that we must clear our grudges on a one-on-one table talk if we ever have any grudges against people, especially your brothers.

well .. here to post about a few stuff that i have learnt .

1. basketball

well after the shepherd's meet we were going to eat and while finalizing who is going off and who is eating . i happened to be observing one basketball match . and i learn this thing . the way one guy defend . :he allow the opponent to pass him . make a turn and chase up . and what i happen to learnt is .. instead of moving backward . which cant give him the fastest speed he chose to make a turn . and how can we apply it in our ministry is this thing . bare minimum or best ?.. if turning around . which isnt so easy is the best . then why not ?. it can help the team to win . it can help the kingdom of God to advance forward . and if we only give our bare minimum .it produces the minimum of the minimum result . God ask for our best not our bare minimum . and that our best is still within our limit .. our best is 100% not 100.01%. not at all. its a 100% at the dot . he requested for something possible . he did not request for impossible stuff .. so .. there is no reason for us to say its impossible . in the first place .. we have God with us . so what is impossible ?.. impossible is nothing to God . God is all possible . God is all powerful. just depend and do it with him . give our best and God will do the rest .

overall of the service is great. but thats the whole point . i seeked God big time and this is what God told me during service .. surrender your life . give it all to Him to control.. let him take the front seat . and i believe one thing that many of us by now would have notice is that we are getting alittle bit out of track and if your not going alittle out of track good continue on if you are .. lets go back to God today .. let him take your life fully . give your life to him . dont take even 1% or 0.01% give him 100%. God have the best plan for us . no matter how smart we maybe .. how good a planned we can be . but the plan God plan for us is the perfect one . no one can win him . not the smartest person on the world not the sneak-i-est guy and no one .. God's plan should be absolute and his plan is the best .. give it back to God . and lets continue on with him . let him take the driver seat . we will stumble and fall but God is all powerful he never falls . he is the fittest so . just let him take you life once again now .

3.slacking

not totally slacking ofcourse . but well just resting . was at stadium and i happen to gaze at all the people running and the whole point is a hunger to learn . so i just pray a prayer like this "God i want to hear and be strengthen by you". so word of knowledge started to pour into my brain through looking at the people on the track . people that are distracted start to linger somewhere out of no where .. distracted and not moving on the track . also .. speed isnt everything . some people they are walking SLOWLY and i really meant SLOWLY . but well .. does he finish it . yes he finish it .. and isnt that the whole point ?. in our walk with God .. the pace isnt everything . but giving our best is still required . and that we will all go on different pace.. God created us uniqely .. and another thing i have learnt is this .. everyone of us is important .. and i was just trying to imagine it as a mass race . and if everyone is not there it cant be a race anymore . and it is us that form the race and we have to do our part by running . if we all decide to quit .. then the race can never go on . then the race cant end . and its meaningless .. since God has placed you at where you are . do what your suppose to do . to know God and let God be known . and that . in a team we will have different role. and so .. do your best in your particular role . and grow the kingdom of God together . strongly . :D.. yea thats all for today .:D:D:D

well today when i happen to reach home .. eerr .. when i reach home . my TV happen to be on .. well my uncle was watching . so it was showing how dolphins and one type of bird work together .. it was so cool . the dolphins would push the small fished up on shore then they will share the fish together .. they go for a few rounds and so cool
so one thing that hit me was this . cooperation is very important .. everyone of us must play our part .. in the flock of birds there are 2 type .. i believe one is the old one and the other are just the younger once,,
the big bird is responsible for communicating with the dolphin . when they are coming up on shore .. the big bird will signal everyone to gather and prepare .
while the dolphin is responsible in driving up all the small fishes ,, and the small fish is responsible to be eaten .. well .. the thing is this .. we in our group have many different type of people . and we must all work together .. one very good pair i can think of would be daryl and xueyong . and what is their role ?.. very simple .. daryl share the joke .. and xueyong be the joke .. well.. joking joking . like our group .. some are rather specialized in sharing joke while some take leads.. some build the spiritual atmosphere .. some start the ball rolling . some play support and some give suggestion . and many different role .. 1 body , many parts .. and thats so cool isnt it ?.. lol.. well ultimately . all the body parts must work together .. no matter how strong your hand is .. if your leg cant move .. your quite weak .. see the hands and leg must work together .. the mouth shouldn’t say its less important then the nose .. neither should the nose say it is not as useful as the mouth . they are both useful but just in different ways .
and this really show that we as a group . as a church . we have to work as a group . move as a group if 1 is not cooperating . no matter how small you are . you still affect the whole body . a cut on your pinky can cause lots of problem . agree ?. and to end off .. team work is important . even God work in a team of 3 .. father son holy spirit . and how much more can we solo ?.. we cant solo.. but we can do our best in our speciality . ..

well yes i went to watch the show dragonball z and im here to share what i have learnt :D cool right ?.

yes

1st , we are weak .

why do i say that simple . even in dragonball Z . they say our touch , smell , hear , taste and see are not enough .. and im not trying to say anything else but its basically this we need God. we our own body is too weak . we need God in our life we need to have him , without God we are useless .. and that we have to depend on him for strength , for wisdom , for knowledge . we need God . BIG TIME ..

2nd trust in God

they kept saying ,"have faith in yourself". well yes . but ultimately we have to trust in God's plan . they were searching for the 7 dragonball and none of them know the outcome . and they made decision with a risk . and that leads me to this thing . we have to trust in God's plan . his ultimate plan . his plan for us is flawless.. we need to trust in him if not we will go out of track . with link to the 1st point . our own plan will fail. but God's plan . never fail . . follow him .! let him be the leader of our life. people say our future is in our hands .. but we say . our life is in God's hand . let him hold our life . let him lead us . let him be the LORD of our life .

3rd . a group

well.. even in the search for the dragonball they were in a team . goku so gosu . still need a team . you so small ofcourse you need a team . look each of us have our own role. they had 4 people traveling with them . and whats the use ?. 1 girl for all the hightech stuff , 1 guy for higher tech stuff . 1 master to lead and train goku , and lastly goku to be gosu . and that hurhur .. in our caregroup , we have a role to play . be it the supporter , the leader , the member or anything . we all have a part to play . we cant say "ohh im useless". no .. God place you there for a reason . idk whats the reason but definately there is a reason . do your part . and in the group we may all have different function but we are all striving for the same goal . to fulfill the great commission . goku they all were striving to obtain all the dragonball but we for the great commission .

4th prepare yourself

goku indeed is gosu , before the final fight .. boots on . and the speed he change his shirt very GOSU .. powerfull .. its like a blink of an eye .. well thats not the point the point is . we have to prepare ourself. dont go into the battle field with a harden heart . if you know you have a heart that is harden then you better pray about it . lets go in with a heart thats all for God . a heart that is willing to work for God and to go anywhere he go. dont be a sabotage where you make everyone fall .

lastly . others before self .

after the last battle well.. they got al 7 dragonball . they get one wish. and goku dint wish for anything thats for his own good . but because one of his dear master is dead . he wished for his master to come back . think about it . a super super rare chance . used just for a single life . how 'worth' it is that . but he made that wish anyway . and it leads me to this thing . we have to put others above ourself . dont be selfish . if sharing food is good then do it . if giving your food is ok . then why not ?. well . God bless you so that you can be a blessing to others . and not to be a selfish kid . a nonsense . lets bless one another .. lets keep one another growing . :D

You Have It, So Say It!

Mathew 25:29
29'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance;but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

Have you come across people who have little, yet even that little is taken away from them? On the other hand, there are those who already have much, yet they receive even more.

Jesus said, "To everyone who has, more will be given. From him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away." Notice that Jesus doesn't go on to say what it is we have. He simply says, "But to everyone who has."

Jesus is talking about a firm belief in God's word that gives one the courage to say. "I have it!"If you say that you have it, you have it, and more will be given to you. But if you say that you don't have it, when you actually do because God has freely given us all things(Romans 8:32), then even what you have will be taken away-not by God but by the devil! The devil does not want you to walk in God's blessings. So when you say that you don't have it, he can rob you of your blessings because he has your agreement!

When you need something, God says that you are to ask of Him. And when you ask, believe that you receive it. (Mark 11:24) Say you already have it even if you don't see it in the physical realm yet, and one day, you will see it!

God is not saying, "Oh come on, pretend that you see it. And if you pretend long enough, you will have it." This is not a game! God is telling us to call forth those things which don't exist as though they do. (Romans 4:17)

Today, we are talking about the haves and have-nots in the church. If you believe that it is yours, you will have it. You will see yourself possessing it and enjoying it, and more will be given to you. But if you say, "Well, I don't feel it and I'm not sure if it will come," in essence, you are saying that you don't have it when you actually do. Then, even what you have will be taken away. So say you have it today!

I am back from camp!!! It’s alr 1 week though..

Some background info of myself- I had been to many camps. Be it school, NPCC, or church camps. Due to personal fears, I don't like to speak up in front of large groups and take lead. I would go with the flow and rather be a follower. I'm afraid the things I said won't work and people don't follow. In short, fear of failure.

The day before the camp, I was on the bed thinking about the previous camps. Man, I felt so yucky of my actions. Just being a tagger, contributed nothing to the group and follow blindly.
“Oh God, I want to be different this time. I don’t want to be an ordinary camper. I want people to spot the difference in me from the rest of the campers. I don’t know how, I don’t know when.. God, I know you can. Prompt me and I will do it.”

True enough, God speaks.. I can’t say that throughout the 3D2N camp, all the campers know me. The things I did might not be obvious, but I know I made a difference in some people’s life. (:

God, You seriously ROCK my world! :D

This camp was an eye opener for me.
Questions popped up in my mind.

What’s the difference between leaders and spiritual leaders?
Both leaders lead with enthusiasm, influence the people, bond the team, have followers.
One thing I realised is that spiritual leaders don’t just lead, they care about the team members holistically. Spiritual leaders care for our physical and emotional part which most leaders tend to miss out. This became obvious to me when I was one of the casualties. Haha!

The theme of the camp is perseverance.
It makes me wonder about this, why do people persevere?
People (We) persevered on because we know what we want. We pulled through the tough trainings (scolding, pumping under the scorching sun, woken up at 3.30am to do PT) as we know we want to be OGLs.
Perseverance comes only when we know our goals clearly. And we know at the end of the day, our efforts will be paid off.

One thing that hit me so hard is this: We are responsible of our lives.
In this camp, my group don’t have the best in-charge. We are left on our own most of the time. However, our group came up with good performance, cheers and have the team spirit. We came in first for one of the activity with limited resources! I believe everyone plays a part in contributing and spurring one another on. We can’t always depend on the in-charge for instructions; we need to lead ourselves before leading others.

a few thing i want to share about is about today . did alot of things and learnt alot of things . shall share .. cool

1. peace ?

one thing that i was just wondering was this . when should we say sorry ? only when we do wrong ?. or should we say sorry even when we are not wrong in order to end problems. cause i was thinking that it do makes some sense that we should never have conflict in our group and if a sorry can cause unity once again then .. why not ?.. even when your not wrong , and you choose to cause even more problem , then it shows one thing . pride.. do you really need to win ?. do you really need to be the right one ?. or are you going to humble yourself down and say "sorry".?. it maybe a simple word but sometimes it maybe hard to say it out . but face it man . we need to say it . say it if it can bring peace again . say it if it can end conflicts. cause seriously . the world is saying sorry only when they are wrong . lets be ambassador of God and be a salt and light . be humble . end conflicts in a smart way . dont be prideful . remember this . the most you lose is abit of your face . but well who cares ?. you earn alot more dont you ?. God looks at your heart , and not your action . having a heart that wants to please God will eventually lead you to humble yourself . and say sorry .

2. disunity

once again . i went to play L4D. and let me share what i have learnt . simple . i've learnt that . when there is disunity in the group . the power go down . the strength of the group goes down . just before we get our com . we were just observing some other players . and i realize that they like to "solo". and which leads to disunity . and that when they go solo. slowly .. one die. then another then in the end .. all die then restart . which is quite "smart".. you know ?.. haha .. and i think the whole point im trying to drive here is that . disunity in one group will cause problem . they group will grow weak . and people will fall . build trust and unity in the group . resolve conflict immediately dont drag it . if the team dont work together . the opponent can strike us down easily . so lets stay strong together with our group . never to leave anyone behind.

3. identity ?

right cool lastly is learnt from service ofcourse . and that the thing i've learnt is that all we need to do is to please the audience of 1.. which is God . we dont need to try and please anyone else with our ability or talent . just please God with all your heart .. give God your best in doing his work . achievement is good . goals are good . but dont be enslave to them . dont let them over take your life. but live a life thats all out for God.. know that you are a child of God and that you need to be anyone else.. just be who you are and know that you have God as your father . and you are the child . please the audience of 1 .. give it your best shot

i remember there was this saying that . the one that leads the band .. you know the one with the stick and it moves his hand "up and down , up and down" .. that one .. his back is facing the audience . cause his main role isnt to please the audience but to lead the band . for us .. same we are not to please the world .. but to please God by giving our best for him . dont be distracted by the world .. live for the audience of ONE ! :D

hellos, today was a little sad cauz i didnt bring anybody and not even my sheep D:... but i had fun with ellina haha after tht went to find my cousin... they were at suntec and i i squeezed my way to find them at mac haha it was super crowded lahh okok haha i found tht it was super crowded and soon i was losing my patient lahh i started pushing people and wass a little pissed ,so i prayed to God and ask him to let me keep my cool and soon i was like walking without any stress haha juz to let you know if u want to like stop urself from being so pissed off or like anything juz pray lahh God will help u and if u dont pray i think you will fall into the devil's trap and make God sad :) so juz have faith and belive in him cauz with a little faith u can even lift a mountain!!! :)

i was just screening through the msn of mine and i just happen to glimps through a few stuff .. and the first thing that caught my eyes was jianhao's display name "if you dont , then who will" . and how this struck me is this . God put you in your school to pioneer for a reason , God never put you in your school for no reason . he want you to spread his gospel . and if He chose you .and you do nothing . then who else will do it ?.

God chose you . we are to do what he command us to do . dont think that someone will do it it just like you make your own pen and believe that you can spin with it to your max . but it go against your will and wont you be stunned ?.. in a way . God put his trust in us . God choose you . not your classmate . not the one beside you . BUT YOU ! in anyway .. one of our main motive on earth is to know God and let God be known !.. if you dont do what you do , then what are you going to do ?.. its just like you are taking Dnt as your subject but you dont want to study Dnt. its like doing something idiotic. something non-sensical come on . we are here to spread the gospel. we are here to preach the word . we are here to let people know God . we are here to let God use us .

we are to stand in the gap between the living and the dead . God will use us . God wants to use us . its up to us to choose to be used or to not be used. . and lets really live our life only to please God .. live a life that God would be happy to see..

Hey Guys! =D
Really sorry that i have not been coming for service this few weeks nor going for North A 1 caregroup meetings and so on, mainly because of school work and CCA. However, i really wanna thank God for all he has done in my life in this fruitful week.
I'm here to share with you, in fact, all Brothers and Sisters in Christ what God has done and prayer is really important and works!!

First of all, God has granted me favor in my studies, i managed to pass my A Maths test! I still remember how my friends and classmates were all telling me they are going to fail the test, whereas, i promised my teacher that i would pass the test and i did it with God. I still remember how anxious i was when my teacher was announcing the results, i thought i would be 1 of the failures but i was not. I can tell u that if i did not pray to God before the test, i would have failed, because while i was doing the test, i was reminded many times being careful and to attempt the questions even if i cant do.

Secondly, today, 12th March 2009 was my school's Speech & Prize Giving Day, my CCA, Girls' Brigade and Boys' Brigade was made to be the GOH (Guard Of Honor). We were training half way before the actual one and it started to rain. My girls and me were starting to get worried and some wanted me to lead the group to a prayer. So, i prayed to God that the rain would stop when we started to form up the contingnent and that God would bless us with a rainbow after the rain. We still procceed on the training, when we were forming up, the rain stopped! I was in a great relief and thankful that God has answered our prayer even though only a small number of people were praying. Guess what? After the parade ended, my sec 1 recuits girls came running to us, telling us that we have missed a rainbow after the rain has stopped! One of my batch girls was jumping for joy after hearing that, she told me, "Hey, Your Prayer Did Work!!" I was totally surprised by her behaviour because she wasn't that kind of person who would believe in prayer.

See, Prayer really works doesnt it? i encourage all of you to pray in heart, soul, body, mind, etc. Pray to God with a Faithful and Responsive heart! Don't be discouraged if God didnt answer your prayer today, instead, think otherwise. perhaps, God wants to test you whether are you faithful to Him? It could be anything. Just stay positive and believe that God's there for you always!
We got to trust God in HIS PERFECT TIMING!

as i was taking time walking home . i was reminded of one of the ess skit. . i forgot which ess .. but the idea of the ess was this , many a times when we pray . we expect all the things to go our way. but sometimes, God doesnt bless us , why ?. then i was reminded of this thing , "God must become greater , i must become less", and the whole point is this . God want us to put him first , whatever you pray for might not be bad or wrong things . its just that it isnt going with the plan of God. God have a better plan for you , perhaps you prayed for the rain not to come so that you can have caregroup , but God rained , you might never know if it never rain , everyone might complain that its hot ?.. or wants a shelter ?.. i dont know how it will be like . but i know that God have a better plan for you .
like take for instance , today i prayed that well God . give me a peacefull day. well peace there is . but without problem there wont be peace . in a sense yes . there was problem . but it was through those problem that i learn that God is the ultimate peace provider .. something like that .
just trust in God's plan . its perfect . God's plan is always perfect , it was never designed to harm it , its always designed to nature us , to grow us , to help us experience him more , God is not trying to be bored here . but he is just wanting you to live life to the fullest . he want us to be more like him . we can never be perfect here . but we try our utmost best to have self-control and things like that .
people lets not be discouraged just because God never ans our prayer . its just that God have a better plan . dont keep asking God . quiet down and hear what he wants to say , we have this tendency to keep praying and praying and praying but we never stop to hear what God wants to say , lets now really quiet down ourself . listen to what God wants to say , prayers are important . but let God do his part as well. dont put him on the bench . let him be with us on the field. dont go SOLO.. go together . :D

just another short post . today went running with a few of my group people . and i did my 2.4km to time myself again . and the thing . is. hehe .. i learnt something again so im gona share :D
1.start
3....2....1...GO !.. yea i started nicely . its almost 100% right . and i qionged . i ran nicely no problem for the first round
2nd round
many things start to come like people talking to me . being distracted and stuff . yea
3rd round - 5th round
start to get tired . chased a unknown guy that went very fast and lastly
6th round
qionged on the last 100m and thought someone shouted "do not qiong when in face they was shouting JIAYOU or something like that". so yea so .. what did i learn ?
#1. start well , move on and end well .
starting well is cool but not enough . so is your walk with God . new believers , start well . good continue . older believers . think about it . how hyper we was ?.. the child-like faith that we had . the heart that depend on God fully . the heart that says you cant . the humble heart . the heart that hunger for the WOG . wasnt it great ? .. wasnt it awesome ?. but how about now ?. did we maintain it all the way . are we still having the heart that desire for it . are have we lost passion ?. have we lost the fire in our heart ?.. claim it back !. ask God for it !.. desire for it back once again . .have you forgot how sad your life was when your still a non-believer ?. a life with no purpose ?. get the fire back burning . a fire that desire to bring people from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God . the light . have the passion !. have the burden !. get it back !. we use to QIONG , now ?. still going all out for God ?.. if not .. get yourself back on track with God .:D

are these place not the place where we always take a break at ?.. drive after a long time park in the parking lot . and rest , cycle so far . stop at gas station go to the mart and grab something . right ?. and running all the way being so tired stopping at a near by bus stop. well thats me . (except for the driving one). now . all those stuff distracts us . when we rest the first time . we will be so tempted to say :"aiya rest another time never mind .."... and in our walk with God.. are we going to get distracted . by things of the world ?. wealth ? power ?. BGR ?. NO. dont ever get distracted . keep running . we may be in the world . but we are never of the world . I.N.O. .. we are in the world , but not , Of the world . the world is here to train us , its a tent for us . temporial . to train us , to natured us . to grow us . but ultimately we still have to keep running . dont stop . grab the drink and keep running .. in marathon race. drinks are station on the side . grab it and keep running dont stop there . GO !.
#3. whose voice ?.
are we going to listen to the voice of the world and get misled by them ?.
the world says . smoking is cool . but smoking in the first place isnt good for the body . and we are not to damage the temple of the holy spirit . the world give us many misleading speeches . all the books in the world they mislead people. they bring people to the fa]lse . they bring people to the kingdom of darkness.. dont follow the crowd. go against them . follow only God's voice . they will shout at you . they will scold you , they will hit you . but dont lose heart . its all for God . influence the world. let them know how great the LOVE of GOD is . his love is the best . and dont be selfish come on . lets go all for God .
know God and let God be known . lets go to God with people following us . dont go up alone . it would be sad . go as a group of millions of people . follow his voice . and be an instrument of God to reach to the people who doesnt know him. dont let the world drag them away . lets move on !.

just share alittle with your. a short one
i reached home and read the newspaper for awhile and i saw this short and interesting post "merlion got struck by lighting". O.o ?... cool right?.. lol.. and the merlion isnt the one we are talking about in sentosa but the one at .. hhmm i forgot where .. but its a small one and .. so cool !. it was strucked . even when its not very tall lol..
people standing right infront looking at it must be terrified lol !.. but thankGod no one was injured .
and thats not the whole point . the point is
well after reading i went to bathe and i took time to think about it . and i concluded with a few things .
becasue after it was strucked . the president dint go like "OH MY GOD .. DIE...". but instead he sent worker to fix things up. and i was thinking how to apply in the ministry and one thing that struck me is .. in such times of trouble . big or small. well in this case quite big . are we going to think [how are we going to get affected?] . or [what will happen to us?].. OR are we going to say [God help us?]. what are you magnifying now ?. the problem or the cause or to look towards the best solution . we should always focus on God instead of the problem . focusing on the problem cant do a single .things .. looking at your maths paper scratching your head wont help you solve all the problem . when you face problem . pray and ask God for help. pray and know you are weak and God is strong . God is all we need to seek . God is all we need to look to . look at God and you will know how tiny your problem is .. God is GIGANTIC . HE IS HUMONGOUS . HE IS THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION :D look to him and trust in him . work together with him .

hey peeps :) here to blog... service yesterday was great thou Celine was a little sick
D: anyways DK taught us a few things which is 'reasons for living a normal christian life' i learnt tht we do things that make God happy is becauz we love God and not for the sake of doing it becauz if u do it for the sake of doing it ,it wont make God happy at all and we must check our hearts everyday and count our blessing we must praise God everyday even when things do not go well.And we cannot choose both world and God is becauz the world is juz a tent for us to rest in while the heaven is our real home... as a christian we need to show our good example to others so we can influence them and show tht we got change after joining church we should not be something like a two-headed snake like example in church u praise the God and become so holy then in school u turn into another person who say vulgar and act differently ya so we should really check our heart to see whether we love God anot :)and remember time and tide waits for no man so we should try our out most best to grow God's church and to save more people i think we can do it becauz our enthu about God is like really super high? and its like IF we try our out most best in whatever we do we can definitely achieve it with God nothing is impossible!!!

well today had a day full of running and cause my leg to sore haha
well the things was this . xy and his sheep went running today . and well so where did we run . we started running from chinese garden .let me share one by one .
before
ytd . xy came to my house and overnight . fearing that he might oversleep .. haha well .. so he came . and talked abit about our groups . and things like that then later . wanted to watch iron man but loading too slow. so went to sleep .
so today morning at 5.30(info from xy) he had stomachache and lol . he woke up and did his stuff . then later ok cool morning woke up . eat . then al gathered put down all our stuff at my house all prepared. moved to chinese garden . everything nicely ready .
so we are at chinese garden and lol started running at a acceptable pace . then it was a piece of cake reaching jurong . so yes warm up over
then we moved on to clementi whoa . dont know why so far !. took many detour . and seriously if i did not mistaken we took about 1hour just to reach clementi . and woohoo we were starting to get tired and took 5 . rested . refill water and stuff like that .
then next we move on to other mrt stations and we take a break at every MRT station .
but ultimately what i want to share is about what i have learnt . i learn many thing let me share slowly .
1. you are responsible for your own walk with God .
in a way . in the race , well you may have many friends to support you . to encourage you , to run with you but ultimately your physical body has to be maintained by you . your friends cant maintain it for you . you have to be responsible for you . you do the Job . and so is the walk with God . our shepherds are here to guide us . to help us . but ultimately we have to do our own quiet time , praying daily and worshiping God . we have to make sure we walk right with God.. if somethings not right get it right with God or get help from your shepherd.
2. never repeat history .
let me share with you alittle of background information . so the thing is this we wanted to run back to yishun from queenstown . and last time i cycled home before from there . and this time we wanted to run . so .. we ran .. and we got lost in the end we trained home .and we said . next week we're so gona do it again . and yes the thing i learnt from this is . once you have done it wrong . know it and learn from it and yes . learn from your failures . learn from your mistake . dont repeat it over and over again . tell God to help you . seek him for strength and knowledge .
3. preparation , giving best , rest .
preparation , before running we did our stretching . going to toilet , hydrating ourself. and the thing i have learn is this . before we can even qiong . we need to be prepared .. pastor jeff said it . be prepared for harvest . and yes the harvest will be here .. definately it will come but are you prepared . prepare your heart . your body and your mind . keep growing and keep upgrading your walk with God .
giving best , in a way while running , we cant stop just because your abit tired. give our best run till you drop !.thank-God-fully that we dint drop . lol. and many of us gave our best to not sabo any one . and if one person dont give their best all will fall together . cause we are a team . dont sabo
rest . you can qiong 100M with all your might and end up being dried up . you can run 1000m without resting . but we need to remember we need to be renewed by the holyspirit!. everyday . ask the holyspirit to renew you . to refresh you . renew the burden , the desire , the passion !. the desire to grow the kingdom will drop . thats why we need to renew it daily . we need to renew it with the holyspirit . he is there to help us .
and yes thats all . and lets really continue to grow as we run this race !

THE LAW OF THE RUBBISH BINS

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive colleague ruin your day?

Of course, for an instant you will probably be set back on your heels. However, the mark of a happy & successful person is how quickly one can get one's focus back to what is important.

I learned it in the back of a London black cab. Here's what happened. I hopped in a taxi at the Bank and we took off for Moorgate tube Station. We had been driving about 200 yards when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches!
Here's what happened next. The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and instead of apologising, started yelling bad words at us.
Now, here's what took me by surprise. Instead of getting angry or annoyed, my taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. He was actually friendly towards the other man!
I said, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, 'The Law of the Rubbish Bins.'

Many people are like rubbish bins. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their bin piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they will dump it straight on you.
When someone wants to dump on you, do not take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.
So this was it; The 'Law of the Rubbish Bins.'
I started thinking, how often do I let 'Rubbish bins' run right over me? And how often do I take their rubbish and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets?
It was that very day I decided that I was not going to do it anymore. I then began to see be aware of rubbish bins. I see the load they are carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And with the GRACE of our beloved Lord; I too have learnt just to smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

well . today had a nice and tiring day . well one thing is because haha went to run in the morning alone and had my quiet time with God .

and one thing that struck me hard today is . am i tired ?. and i was just thinking . hhhmm well ofcourse i am . but one thing that God is trying to tell me here today is this thing . God will restore us

today as i was worshiping God. he really refreshes me . he is the source of Joy for sure . i was feeling alittle discourage . but he came. he assured me that things will be great . he touch me and im blessed .

and the thing i really can say is.. no matter how tough . how discouraging . how sad things may seems . we need to do only one thing and that is to go back to God . seek him and you will find him .and he will give you peace . he is the ultimate refuge of all. he restores our soul . he lead us to green pasture . he make us lie down beside quiet water . he settles the problem . he is there to help us , to guide us , to lead us . he will never leave us . and he said in his word that we can cast all our burden and anxiety onto him . and God wants to help us , God wants to go through the storm with him . but are you willing to go by his way ?.

and one very good example i can think of is from L4D

your teammate are there to move together are you going to choose to move forward yourself . soloing and getting all the point . and when hunter/smoker/boomer/tank come . you dies and you blame them . or are you going to choose to stay with them . they are longing to help to move together God is like the other 3 partner you have . they are there to move together with you . its your choice to see if you want to move or not . free will . you can choose to solo . no problem . .but when things crop up are we going to blame God for not being there when we dint even seek his help ?.

seek him and thats all we need . find rest in him . find peace in him . he is the ULTIMATE REFUGE !.. :D

jsut a little small update from my previous few post .. i said that praying for a 95% for my maths .. well fortunately and unfortunately .. i got a 92.8% . it was 37/40 .. and well dont mind .. lol.. but whats fortunate is that .. i was just thinking . why dint God ans my prayers . and something somehow just struck me . saying this :".God will give what you need.". he has a plan for you . he is helping you to grow . surely somewhere i need to grow. am gona pray about it . but the sure thing is this .. some times God dont ans your prayers because it is not going in line with his will . like for instance . you want to work . you pray hard but God never give you a job . maybe what he want you to learn is to keep praying and giving your best . he is testing you to allow you to grow. he is just like opening space for you to grow .

[God will never give us testing for the sake of it . he want us to grow] and we can grow !. with God . we will grow . to further move the kingdom forward..

we are just like the wineskin . we need to expand ourself inorder to hold more wine . and we need to grow.

i remember xy saying something like this . [personal growth leads to group growth] . somewhere along that line . but the thing is this . you want your group to grow . ?. you start the ball rolling by growing yourself. stepping out of comfort zone . going into the battle ground . wield your sword . and lets move together . lets go into the battle ground together . as a group as a team . ultimately we are going in together with God . with the father , the son and the holy spirit . lets go . and grow . grow for the kingdom sake !. lets not be stagnant . things will die . they will either drop or increase . decrease or UP :D.. so lets go . UP . and not DOWN .

[the kingdom of God has to move forward forcefully!]. lets go .

one thing made me make this post is simple . i just doesnt want to compromise on sharing God's blessing . yea so .. cause i got one problem . its maths test . emath .. and well one thing is this i always have this problem with careless mistake . and the thing is i have careless mistake almost all the time and the previous one i total had like 5+ careless mistake and lost about 9 points ?.. and it was so .. danged. . but well today when i took the test .. i told God this .God all i can do now is to do it with You!. and well . i did it with him . and thats one thing . but another thing is . i can always say well wait for the result to come out then i share .. but well i made the choice to post now . because of this thing . dont hesitate sharing God's goodness.. well God gave me peace . and thats why im sharing here now . and that we should be sharing at all moment .. regardless of big or small blessing .. as long as its called blessing . we should share it . well dont be hesitant just give your all to share it .. you might never know . yea; well just to share a few short blessing

today in lesson ... some how or another . i got mental block during my science lesson and i said this to God . saying . "God ah .. hurhur .. now can only depend on you .. give me strength and knowledge !. and haha surprisingly i suddenly remember all the formula all the methods of solving all the graph thing . and haha thankGod .. prayer works !. pray until something happen !

was just taking some time to think about all the basketball games i've played .. and i concluded with this thing .. if you stay cool , give your best , depend on God . there should'nt be a problem winning . you may say . well its just another basketball game . but i say . well i live my life with God thats why even in such small basketball game .. lets play it with God . lets do it with God . when we saying living life with God it doesnt mean only during service or caregroup . but also . in times like this . even at times when your walking to school , waiting for bus , doing homework , preparing to sleep we should do it with God . not being crazy but more of desiring to live life with God . and when we depend and live life with God things are going to change .. i dont know about you . but when i really play with God the way i see things seems to change . like i use to win for the sake of winning , dont want to lose face , but when i start playing with God .. i play it in a way that i want to learn something and i want to depend on him . see.. it kinda change the way i see things ..

and to conclude .. lets live life with God all the way.. at all times. . prayer is free.. just like some of the sms plans , UNLIMITED FREE SMS haha .. prayer is free .. pray and talk to God as much as you want as much as you can . it may not necessary to be a request it can be just a normal remark like ."nice one God.".. or "God today weather not bad". it can be anything we can talk under the sky :D.. God is there to accompany us :D

hey!! haha yesterday service was great, early in the morning , i went to my aunt's house to visit her then i rest for a while and watched tv . So i looked at the clock it was ard 1+ and i was supposed to leave her house at 1.40 but i dun dare to leave cauz its like i juz came and i leave so early its like no manners lahh so i prayed to God and ask him "God tell me when to leave becauz i dunno when to leave, show me something or give me some courage to tell them that im leaving" so i waited and finally, i stood up and said"ok im going off alrd" then i felt so relive :D .Then i went to city hall for the ushering thing and i was super glad tht i was in the team because i have been praying since last year to join the ushering team and finally IM IN!!
ok then they show us where to stand all this thing and we went in.. i was so nervous and soon i was shaking a little so i sat down and talk to God and said" please dun let me feel scared give me more courage and faith that i can do it" and when the people came in i was like leading people to their seats naturally like professional lols .Then i tried looking for my caregroup member but still cant find them so i also prayed to see them and then after the service we ran down the steps and stood outside the door to greet the people and i finally saw my caregroup members!!! i was so happy, after tht we went to china town and then to clarke quay and went home ard 11+ . yilin and jinlin was scared tht their parents will scold them, so i decided to pray for them and when i reach home i smsed them and ask them about it both of them say they only got nagged, so i was happy that God blessed them . And i learn that if u need anything from God like help for studies,courage,parental objection ..etc. just have faith in God and pray to him , he wont leave us and let us fend ourself unless he has better plan for us so we should not give up on him even if he dun bless us with what we want we should love him even more

well . shall share about today .

a few things .

no.1. before service .

i had the sudden urge to go and jog . and so .. i woke up at 8am . prepared by 8.15am . went running . untill 8.45am . and the thing is .. whats so cool about it ?.. well .. i ran with God . seriously .. i was praying and talking to the air . and hehe .. really enjoyed God's presence during that period of time.

no.2. during prac .

well know afew new people. especially people from the MM crew .. those from other side .. hurhur .. i forgot their name but i remember one of them is shirley's sister .. haha well enjoyed serving together and things like that

no.3. during 1st service

well .. first service was cool. files come in rather last mins . and haha manage to pull through . and the one thing i have learnt is about this . its not about the result . its not about the goals . yes they are good but ultimately God look at the MAN .. he looks at our heart not our deeds . what is coming from our heart ? thats what God look at .. and to really spend time to let God search your heart and stuff like that .

no.4 during 2nd service

haha was serving both svc . screwed up abit here and there . but sermon was cool. learnt another few things . and the thing is . God's love never fails . we are given chances after chances and that God's grace is sufficient . he is all we need .. we no need other things . God is all we need . God will prune us .. God will test us .. but remember in the time that we are down .God is there . when we fall God is there . when we are weak .God is there .. never will he leave us . never will he forsake us .. he is always there

no.5 fellowship with shepherds

went clark quey and had a fun time photo-ing . slacking and slacking . well fell asleep . and yes went for L4D. well .. let me share this thing with you .

sacrificing . in a way . sacrifice your time , money , strength for your group member .. just like the boomer(the fat one). he is good at sacrificing his life for the team to earn more . so if we can give our money to help the group . give . if we can give our muscle then use it . if we can give , give

doing it smart . you can be strong you can be skilled . but if you dont know how to use them its quite useless .. seek God for knowledge . seek God for wisdom . you may have skill but you still need God's wisdom and knowledge .. we will never be able to say "i've known more than enough". just like smoker and hunter . they are strong . but if your dumb to appear infront of them your dumb .

support . help one another in tough time .. when they are down . give a hand .. pull them up . encourage them . when they are at the front line . back them up . when they are back-stabbed . keep a watch out for him. dont leave your team mate alone.. they will get attacked . always keep a watch out for one another . once they are at wrong . tell their shepherd .. dont let them go astray . you will lose out..

and yes thats for the L4D part .. so in all .. support , doing it smart , sacrifice . ofcourse there are more . life for instance . being renewed . you cant keep qionging you need health pack and safe house .. you need time to heal and etc.. dont be a qionger that qiong without brain . use your health pack . be renewed , be recharged by God ..

lastly

just want to take this time to publicly that CELINE HO LE YUN. well why you ask ?.

simple .. after the morning run . i dint have time for breakfast . so i went down empty . then rehearsal left me with no time for lunch . and before 1st service.. i asked her to help me buy garlic bread and woohoo she bought it :D . and lasted for quite awhile. then after that wasnt so filled .. requested for A SMALL AMOUNT of bread .. she go buy 5 buns . and 1 soy milk :D .. THANKS CELINE. seriously .. those came just in time . i ate them at 7pm . and well thou dinner was provided its duck rice . and im fasting from meat . so i ate the 5 buns and drank the soy milk . and woohoo was satisfied :D.. THANKS CELINE ONCE AGAIN :D ; YOUR THE BOSS ! . lol.. well God really blessed me in many ways .. giving me strength , giving me food , giving me peace and joy . :D.. and blessing me with great leaders haha ..

well.. early post .. keke .. just share some blessing with your

yesterday . after media practice i was starving like crazy . and then .. the thing is i am fasting from meat and then i was hungry yea . so i was at potong pasir . and the thing is . i dont know the place very well .. especially food . so the only food providing store i could see was bread talk . so i went there . and to my delight there was a notice put up . saying "4 for $3.50". woohoo nice offer .. i went in .. and hoping that i can find food . over there .. only have a few left . and sadly all have meat on them. on of them is . HAM and cheese . HAM.. meat.. rejected .. then .. got hotdog and cheese ... HOTDOG ... rejected . then got tuna ... in the first place i dont like tuna .. secondly its meat . so rejected . and the rest are all similar to these 3 of them .. and i was disappointed then never mind i went to board the train . when i was on the train i was just talking to God since i was alone .. and i said this to God ."hhmm God .. today quite empty ahh...".. obviously empty means hungry haha .. then i continued "..hhmm God .. khatib also have break talk right ?. may i just pray that you bless me :D " and woohoo i fell asleep . yea then when i reach khatib .. guess what .. bread talk was OPEN !. and the thing is .. there was also an offer .. buy 3 get 1 free :D.. great !. so i went in and keke .. thankGod .. not alot of mean .. the 1st one i took was a ham and egg . yes ham .. but the ham was small so i took the ham out and ate the rest . yea.. the 2nd one i took was another offer .. 3 for 1.20 . it was some garlic bread .. quite crispy .. yea .. and the 3rd one i took was also garlic bread .. haha .. so ..together with the offer .. buy 3 get 1 free i can choose one more .. i chose bread with floss .. thats what it says .. and yes was so blessed by God . and had a happy time eating the bread while cycling home :D

second blessing :D

yesterday was at music prac at potong pasir .. called boons . then well i was in there .. the drum was there . the base was there .. the electric guitar was there .. the 2 keyboard was there .. and when they play .. the only 2 person you can speak to is the person beside you and God :D.. so well being a tired person i started to worship God.. and keke .. really want to thankGod that .. he replenish my energy as i worship him and i got higher and higher :D ..

lastly.

third blessing :D

it was today mass run(or some of your call it cross-country) or something like that . yea and well ran at YISHUN PARK. lol?.. well then i reached there at 8.45am , it starts at 9am so .. yea went cycling first .. so while i was cycling .. i told God this .. well God .. top 10 will do .. (well we challenge level by level) . so yes i was there and i said top 10 will do .. ok was CONVICTED to run . then at the starting line .. i saw myself standing at the last position . and i was DEVASTATED so sad lah .. normally the one at the last one need extra power to run to the front . so yes i was at the back .. i saw many people .. RUNNING far infront of me .. keke .. and i was so seriously DEVASTATED there were running aready and im still at the back ... was discourage and i told God .. "you sure not?...top 10".. and well God assured me by saying "just RUN".. and wooohoo .. ok i run i run .. then 1 started to over take the 1st person , 2nd , 3rd 4th 5th ....... and after awhile i realize im at the front and woohoo .. but wasnt in top 10 yet . so i told God .. "God .. no JOKE very tired .. help me .".. and again God assured me saying "just run".. hoho .. sure .. so i went running .. running and one of the last curb . i was beside 2 person . so the three of us was running together .. then someone shouted "YONGEN !. YOU ARE IN THE 5TH POSITION !. "well i was stunned i thought i was like in the 15th position but surprisingly keke i was the 5th !.. then i over took one of them and .. i sprinted i ran .. i qiong , i HANG-ON. i KEEP RUNNING. and finally .. THE FINISH LINE!.. 4th !!!.. :D:D.. and yes . i ended in no.4. :D.. and i could really say ".i have RUN the good race". literally run keke .. and really want to thankGod for all the blessing he given me ..

and one thing i have learnt from this running experience is this . never give up even when it seems impossible . i was so pumped up at the start .. discourage later . and yes i ended top 10. and to apply in ministry . sometime when God pump us in anyway to do his work.. sa.tan will discourage us but we must always remember this . just depend on God and keep moving . we are fighting not for victory but FROM victory . and that we said it "with God all things are POSSIBLE".. just depend on God he is there for a reason he is there for us to seek . he is there to help us .. :D.. trust in him . everything is controlled by him :D ...

PSALM 71:20,"Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up."

Have you lost your job, property or anything that was yours??
God can quickly restore what was rightfully yours.
GENESIS 40:13, "Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cup bearer."

Are relationships strained and in the verge of breaking up??
Feel there's no hope?
Just believe that your Heavenly Father is a God of restoration & will help you build up this relationship.
PSALM 147: 3 He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.

What ever situation you are in and feel there's no hope and it's all over, Just give your troubling situation right now into the hands of your Saviour JESUS CHRIST.
If He's not your Savior as yet, you can still reach out to HIM for help. Just cry out to HIM.
Be real, tell HIM how you feel about the situation.
He will intervene & help you.
So instead of giving up hope & thinking it's all over, look up to JESUS CHRIST.
Trials, pain are part of life. But God's word promises us, that everything works to our good.
1CORINTHIANS 4:17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So if you think all is over..just remember..there's still hope. Abba Father's on the throne & we can approach HIS throne on grace with our petitions, in the NAME OF JESUS/YESHUA & HE will listen to us.

what i want to share is "God is with you". sometime we might few that god has leave you or god did not care about you anymore!!! let this verse remind you wheather god is with you anot! some where in HEB in the bible, God said " never will i leave you , never will i forsake you!!! . just wanna tell you that nothing can separate us from god . no one can take this relationship with God away. remember God is alway with you , is not that he has left us or what.
one example is. your teacher . your teacher teach you how to do the question and show you how to do it and when you understand he will sit behine you and watch you do the question ourself. without the teacher help we do not know how to do and wanted to give up but if you ask him he will help you . and it is the same God teach us how to live and God show us how to live. and sometime he wanted to test us. he will sit behine you and watch you live. and it do not mean that he has left you. he is alway with you . and sometime we event dun borther to ask. ask and it will be given .

and sometime people say that God did not answer my prayer , God dun wan to listen to me!!! one more example i wan to give you all is : imagin i am talking to you. and i was alway talking and asking. do you have a chance to answer me? No ... it is the same when we keep asking and keep talking , God wan to talk to you also cannot lah.. sometime we just need to be still sit there for 1 to 3 min just to listen to god. and let god talk to you!!!

and there is this verse saying " if God is with you who can be agianst you " whatever you do God is in control and we just need to do our best and God will do the rest! if you all have anything just tell god and i will keep praying for all of you all de!

as for this week ..

one key thing that really struck me .. is about this .."God is all we need".

God's love , God's grace they all ultimately comes from God . and thats why . God is all we need, and the thing is .. if we seek for the world . we will be drawn in by the world . and we will be mis-focus . and just like during exam period if we seek to play bball during exam period we will be misfocus on our exam . the thing we need to seek now .. even in good times, we have to still seek God . God is like air . we cant survive without it .. we need God and thats final . without God we are dead .. without God all things are IMPOSSIBLE . God is out ultimate resource , God is the one that gives us the strength and other things .. not the world . the world is just a tool for God to use to reach to us . our friend can be one example . God uses those friends around us to give us moral support .. to encourage us . to help us , to guide us .. remember ultimately God is still the one in control . he is the ultimate resource .

another thing God struck me was a sense of urgency . it suddenly took me a second to take time to think of the backsliders i faced so far . how have they been ?..

some retain ?.. some got into gangs ?... BGR ?... smoking ?.. fighting ?... and things like that .. seriously .. hardly anyone in my mind is doing well.. even the person with the best condition .. is having a hard time in his CCA .. losing positions and things like that . and this really brings me to this point .. if we hurry and teach them what is right . the world will sooner or later teach them what is wrong .. if we do not go . the world will win . and this is why a sense of urgency is really needed .. to hurry and go ..

lastly . unity

i was just playing L4D on saturday .. and i realize this thing . if you solo . you take the most damage .. people behind you get damage .. its a lose-lose situation . but .. if you stay in a pack and look after one another . when one is attack people around you will know . and its a win-win. situation . and for example .. if everyone solo.. your friend kena smoke you also dont know .. and thats why .. unity must be there .. we help each other . we protect one another . and we be there for one another . yes .. there might be one leader but still .. leader or not . servant or not .. we are still a team . a family . the father and the youngest child . they are still a family . everyone has a part to play . and we have to be UNITED. yea :D

just a few things to share

from the worship . one thing i have learnt is . all you have to do is be yourself . cause there is no point trying to act holy or anything , what God likes is you . he dont need the one that is acted out . just be yourself when your worshiping God . just give God your best . your best can just being yourself. your best doesnt need you to act all big or cool. we are worship God not man . man look at the outward appearance but God looks at our heart , God dont look at your appearance just remember that you just be yourself . give God your utmost best .. seek him with all your heart .

in worship . what are we seeking . God or God's word ?. honestly speaking . for a few time . i have been seeking God's word in stead of God himself . and this thing is pop out into my mind . we ought to seek God and not God's word . its the same concept as . we desire for the giver not the gift . worship is not totally about God's word. but its all about God . yes God may speak to us and we share it . but ultimately . God should be the one we seek.

problems , hardship , discomfort , discouragement , disappointment , etc . they will come . comfirm they will come . but look who is behind you . God . to link it to the world . gangs . when they fight . who does they look at . your boss . if your boss is big . they will be scared. and same thing . dont look at the problem . look at our boss. God . our boss is big . he is not small . . all we need to do in all this tough time is to look to God and says God i need you . and says God you take control . shirley said it in the teaching . God is in control of the whole situation so . why fear ?.. why worry ?. God is there . he will prepare the table in front of you in the presence of you enemies so dont worry . :D . dont worry , be happy , for God is with us

During Service

well as many knows i was on duty and i was upstairs .. and cool. one thing that God struck me hard when all those that are serving came together and pray. is that . we are serving God not man . and on verse i forgot the exact verse . but it says . :seek first his kingdom , and all this will be given to you .... somewhere there . and the thing is . well vincent was having a visitor . and God just told me . dont worry . just give your best in serving me . do your utmost best and i will do the rest . and i was like .........sure..... and cool then

another thing i wanna share also during service is .. woohoo got breakthrough . normally its very hard to jump when your clicking. and woohooo i did it !haha i was jumping and clicking . but sadly only for one song . haha . but still woohoo thankGod :D. .haha

one thing i learnt was that . well .. money doesnt have to come in . the whole point is about enjoying one another's presence . we encouraged one another and thats the time i realise . we came here not just to eat. but also to really know one another more and to be bonded even closer . and well thats what we did .. we gathered to eat . shared the pain in the heart :D.. and we cracked alot of joke . that made me laugh untill it took me so long to finish that beef . but still hurhur its worth it . $50 is worth it . :D

Yo people!
Thank God for this great blessing today that i have went to Shepherd's Buffet Celebration! It was totally AWESOME! We had fun, laughing at the jokes, enjoying the good food, taking pictures & videos. Hope to see all the believers in 2008 promote to shepherds soon! Then, our shepherd's team will grow into caregroup leaders team!
Yi Lin just taught me a teaching about Faith today and i find it really useful. It's about this conversation between Vincent and Rachel. Rachel was asking Vincent a lot of good questions which i think you and i can learn from this too.

These are some of the questions that i think you can ask yourselves when you're in doubt.

-If i have to suffer physically on Earth, would i ever disown Jesus?
(E.G. If someone puts a gun on your head, asking you not to believe in Jesus, would you rather give up life for Jesus than saying yes.?)

If you feared, what will you do?
- Think of your goals. (E.G. Do you want eternal life?)
Key point: Physical life is just TEMPORARY, think of ETERNAL LIFE.

-Have you ever wondered what if God is not real at the end of all the sufferings?
(Meaning: We can't even see or taste God, how do we know God really exists?

-Ask yourselves this:
1.1 Why're you here serving God?
1.2 Why have you come so far yet you're doubting Jesus now?
1.3 Why did you even believe in God in the first place?

Have God ever touch you?
Have God ever bless you?
If yes, God do exist in your heart.

Hey all, I was looking back the past photos of my ex-group. The group that changed my life forever and gave me a new beginning. There is more than a thousands of Thanks that I can give and I realized something.

What they have done might seem small to them. But they do not know how much changes they made in my life, Its more than the change, Its more than the chance that I have been given, but the love that they lived out for me, will carry on through me and through the people I had changed and will change. And what this meant to me was this power will be carried through generations and generations. It would never end. It would never stop.. untill Jesus would come again.

What you do to others, do you know there is an eternal impact? So great you wouldn't imagine. People out there you have NEVER seen, NEVER heard and NEVER knew of would be changed by You. yo vincent chin here,
i wanted to share some of my blessing this week , ya before new year i was preparing to buy new cloth with vincent quek , kay en and wen hao.

and what i know next is we went out of money. and only buy 1 former cloth and jean. but i still need money to buy new pair of shoe! and during 2nd day of chinese new year my parent bring me to a shopping centre to find something to eat, some how or rather we walk pass one of a sport shop call sport link! so my parent bring me in.

at 1st we were only looking around, but after awhile my father just ask me!
my father : you need a new pair of black shoe
me: ok lor , (cus he know that my school black shoe aready spoil liao)

we were about to buy the school shoe , i chose one of the black shoe it was around $30 ++ and after that my father go and buy another sport shoe for himself. and then he come and ask me agian , he said do you want one more shoe for going out wear? then my mom call me to go and chose another shoe , then i chose another one and they paid the money!

normally when i wan to buy something my father will give me money lah , but my mom everytime will nag at me lah , eg : before new year i was going to buy cloth , my dad give me $150 to buy new cloth after the next day then my mom say dun buy new cloth lah you have alot of cloth le!!!. but i still go buy the cloth after school. after i buy the cloth. and it is about to go home le. as i walking home i was thinking how am i going to tell my mom what i did! but did't aspect that when i reach home my mom knew that i have buy some new cloth she did not scold me

but she ask me and look at the cloth and she know that the jean are long so she take out some money and let me go to autor it . what i wanted to tell you all is that i have been bless by god!

because at 1st i have not enoff money to buy a complete set of cloth yet my dad buy me shoe not only 1 shoe but 2 wow thank god man. then my mom dun let me buy new cloth but i buy it and by god grace she did not scold me but give me more money to autor the jean which was too long..

really thank god for my family and thank god for putting me in this place that i am rite now!! by the way yesterday my mom bless me with 4 more new shirt! THANK GOD see how bless i am :)

well cool. and right just wanna share a few things i have learnt during saturday service .. the thing is .. well during worship . God spoke to me reall hard about this thing : . if i am God and i am in you . then what is impossible ?.. we said that with God all things are possible . and so. lets really go out and do everything we can . everything . if you say its impossible . then its as well as saying God is no power . which is not true .. if God is in you . go do all you can.. dont compromise .. we are so bound to compromise.. but we should never .. all things are possible . so go and do all thing . go and qiong . go an attempt crazy thing for God . it may SEEMS impossible . but remember we said it .with God all things are possible .

and right . the 2nd thing is during sermon . ofcourse .. about family .. one thing that i have learnt is not really about family . but its more with applying the word .. if you dont apply . then its no point learning so much . we learnt to be a filial child . then lets do it . dont let it be just a knowledge . but let it be something you will apply . if you are deciding not to apply . then might as well dont even learn it . right .. cool

"Man, 24 hours is not enough for me!!!"
"How I wish I have more than 24 hours per day"
These are comments that I'd heard from the people around me.

It keeps me thinking, why God wants to make 24hours a day? Why not 30 hours or more since the people kept complaining that there is no time.. I believe that 24 hours is sufficient to complete the things we needed. It's just a matter of how we make use of it.

Overly-sleep?

Games?

Out with friends slacking?

God is not someone who wants to make things difficult for His child. And before He decided to have 24hours a day, He had weighed out the pros and cons. Setting it the perfect number of hours that is just nice for all of us to have.
How much time we want to spend on ministry, studies, and friends is determined by us. We have full control of how we want to make use of it.

I'm just reminded again about this.

It's not that we have no time, it's we don't make full use of time. And it boils down to the word

During shepherd's pm on friday, i actually couldnt get a word from God, so I just kept on praying and praying and asking God for a word.
And finally, God finally spoke strongly to me in this sentence "Seek not to be ordinary people, but lets seek to be people who shine for Him."
As it is stated in Mathew 5:16,
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Lets be the salt and light for Jesus, be it in our schools or family, lets be that Christ ambassdor, that Christ representative, lets be that channel that will bring people to know Christ, lets be that blessing that will touch others' lives.
If people can't see Jesus through us, what difference are we from a non-believer?
So lets all seek to be that positive channel that people can and WILL see Jesus through us.

because as christian we live by faith! and dun forget whatever we do God is our backup . what
for scare and run away! so remember whatever we do God is with us and we are with him.

so during outreach , sowing , or even having a role in caregroup , service , prayer meeting even school event or cca event , DO your best in what you have to do and God will do the rest!

Hey people!:D
Throughout this whole week, be it caregroup, prayermeet or any other events, i kept hearing this,
You got to love your people unconditionally!

I believe it's the Holy Spirit speaking because the whole week, i been bz with my studies, neglecting my family members, my sheeps, even not wanting to speak to my SHEPHERD.
It's not definitely not easy going through all these at 1 go.
It's until during service, Pastor Prakish was speaking sermon, God made me realise that,"Hey, so what if you have done well in your studies? If you don't love your people as much as i do, all your grades would be just waste in the bins."
Then, i remembered hearing Pastor Prakish saying this, ' if you think your word doesnt touches them, don't be discouraged because it matters to parents a lot if their children changes for the better, sure enough, the parents would be touched by them one day.'
Scenes of my mother's crying, my dad's nasty face appeared.
I really felt sorry for them but i believed that if i love my parents like how Jesus love us, sure enough they would be touched.
I need to go for the extra mile for my parents, family, shepherd, sheeps, most importantly, do all this with a willing heart.

God love us unconditonally.

Mostly back to my old times thinking of 2008 ...
Come to think of it , it's kinda fuzzy and funny stuffs going on alot last year .
I agreed that we guys had alot of fun in camp and stuffs ..

About camp ..
I was a life changing for me in camp and i mean it . I got to know new friends and growing spiritual with all of my friends . Yeah , things like that makes me think of something also ....

Val had doing things that we are not expected her to do .
She's a really great leader . {I dunno why people kept on criticizing her .}LOls
I remebered there is one night she stayed up and just to talk to us .
She's was very tired though she talk and talk till 4 to 5am ..
I was really very grateful and how noble she was , .... Ty val !

As for vincent , he's a very good leader too ! =]
saying that he would help out val when she's busy doing other stuffs .
Vincent is quite a caring guy , it's just that people just don't get him know more enough !

CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!!!!
[this is for the 24th dec's 'THE GIFT']

1. Pre believers / 1st time visitors welcome gift

Our theme is The Gift so it will nice to give out welcome gift to visitors. They are still confirming the gift. The church is getting something simple but usable. The gift will be pack in a gift box. CGs!!!!! pls prepare gifts for visitors as well because church level will give out this simple Christmas gift.

2. Free seating for The Rock services

It will be free seating format. there is No reservation of seats. This is because we want to pack the front rows first and not leave any empty seats while waiting for the rest to come.

So one effective way is ALL CGs, meet much much earlier earlier for lunch, tea or dinner and then arrive together as a CG and move in as a group if they want to sit together.

3. Door open 15mins before actual services

The church will like to start the program on time and end on time. So they will open the door 15mins earlier. So you and you CGs can feel free to come 15mins earlier to start packing the auditorium.

The church hopes to achieve a packed-feel service before the program starts. Rather than having a few people walking in and streaming in slowly. So your leadership on this will be needed as it will impact each services.

This time, the programme will have a slow carol then followed by uplifting ones, so imagine with me if the service is full packed compare to half-filled auditorium and people are still walking in when the singers and choir is singing.

Yo!
I believe all of you are choinging hard for CG08 and before camp! Hey keep it up! =] and I will be keeping you guys in prayer =]. I am encouraged at some people like my sheep (Vincent) =] and it really amazes me how much we are all so desperate to finish CG08 especially the pioneer team and recently I was reminded that in everything we do, whether we gain or loss. Let's boast in Christ.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

23 This is what the LORD says:
"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,

24 but let him who boasts boast about this:

that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,

and will we really be people who who boast in the Lord our God? or in our capabilities like our strength, wisdom or riches. or in our skills? guitar, sport... and the list goes on, but we must know in all this- It was God not us that made it happen- and therefore I will make my boast in Christ alone.

well today i went cycling once again. and something interresting is that . well i intended to go to toa payoh thinking . man if i follow the mrt track that would be so not fun. and i decided to take the thomsom road .and i somehow or another after one hour of cycling i eded mysekf at boonkeng . well where is that .. hhmm good question , i dont know haha .. which basically means . well im lost haha .. big time . in the eastern [art of singapore. and well . at that time the only thing i could think of doing is to pray. and thats what i did . and thankGod i manage to get out of the wulu place and haha get to khatib mrt on time. :D. well thankGod for that . and something that i could learn from
in times when we are lost . are we willing to say :”God i may not totally understand it . but i will JUST GO as you say so .”. cause all the map that i see. are very big scale . and it shows very little . and all i could say at that time was . just whack . and God guided me . and yes . i got out of boonkeng reaching potong pasir . followed the path of bus 13 . and thankGod again . he gave me kenny(well a handsome guy from yhope); he appeared and he told me i have chosen the right path(assured) :D. and so i went on and i reached bishan in no time !. :D.. then i went home .
and to summarise everything is this . God will never leave us alone . he will guide us .. but we have to be willing to say ‘where im heading to , i dont know , but im going to trust in the LORD.’ if you dont trust him. you will find yourself ending up in some weird-er places..
trust in the LORD all the way. dispite any circumstaces .:D..

I do all i can, with what you've given me
and how much you've given me
to build.

I do it all to the maximum of my ability
and what i know how to.
The rest, i leave it and trust that You will take care.

I pray that Your kingdom and Your Will will be done
in my Life and these whole bunch.
It is Your people and work
that i want to give my life for..
and it pains me if it's NOT according to
Your TRUTHS.

I pray that THROUGH that , they will see the value.
They will understand why is it worthy to give EVERYTHING.
And that through my limited seconds,
let them see what has been invested and entrusted-
to understand the burdens and sense of urgencies.
Everything will just increase.
Open up the spiritual eyes and ears-
to understand and receive humbly.
Do what i cannot do.

I can see it through all the incidents of my life.
